Overview
This notice explains the cookies used on jamiaapp.com (the web dashboard and marketing site). It supplements our Privacy Policy. The Jamia mobile app does not use browser cookies.
1. What We Use
jamiaapp.com sets authentication session cookies (via our backend provider, Supabase) that keep you signed in to the dashboard between page loads. These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function and are not used for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Under UK and EU cookie law (PECR in the UK, the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in each member state — in Germany § 25 TDDDG, in France Article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés), strictly-necessary cookies like these do not require consent.
We also set a language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers which language you chose to read the site in. It is likewise strictly necessary to deliver the site in the language you asked for, and holds nothing but a language code.
2. What We Don't Use
- No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies.
- No analytics or usage-tracking cookies (we don't run any analytics platform, on the web or in the app).
- No third-party tracking or cross-site cookies.
3. Managing Cookies
Because we only use strictly-necessary session cookies, disabling them will simply sign you out and prevent you from staying logged in to the dashboard. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this notice and, where required by law, add a consent mechanism before doing so.
